Hi all,

when I try to access my Arlo Camera from Work (important usecase) I get the "connection error". As already written in this community this seems to be an firewall issue (there is no chance for me to change the firewall).

Is there a workaround for the issue e.g.:

-Could arlo offer a functionality to trigger a recording via http? Then I would get an Email and could watch the video.

-???

Best regards

Pedro

Using cell service rather than WiFi while at work is the only way around this.  Whether something gets changed in the future is unknown.

What does have to do with WIFI?

But maybe using the Smart Phone is the best solution.

Others ideas from my side:

But for Netgear it should be possible to trigger a recording via standard http?

Would VPN an Option to tunnel the Firewall?

It has everything to do with WiFi since it appears that you would be using the work WiFi to try to access Arlo.  If the network blocks access, WiFi is useless.  Hence, the suggestion to use cell service.
