Connecting my netgear base station to my netgear wireless router wnr1000

If my network has a password, do I need to somehow program that so that the base station and router can talk to each other?

No, the Arlo base hooks into the router/switch via an ethernet cable.... it sets up its own wifi network for the camera only and talks directly to the internet
