Cannot setup a new system

Problems to set up an account and use the system. The Base station is connected to the same network as my PC. All internet connections are fine, the LED on the base is green. I can surf the net with my PC. 

Whenever I try to setup my account, the serial number will not show. Any suggestions for me ? Workaround ? Can this be a firewall issue ? Tried to turn it off - does not work anyway . . . .

 

PS: its urgent, because I bought the camera system because I NEED it !

This could very well be linked to a firewall issue.

What kind of virus protection do you have?

 

Is your system new or did you purchase it from a previous owner?

I have turned off the firewall and the virus protection as well - in order to test this. No success.

Tried 2 different computers - one of them running Windows XP, the other one Windows 8.1

None of them is able to find and connect to the Base Station.

On XP there was McAffee Enterprise (now deinstalled), on Win 8.1 there is AVG Antivirus free Edition (still running)

System is new. 1 Camera set
