Would love some ideas to help me unscrew the camara from the mounting hardware. Specifically the piece that screws into the caramel itself. There is a while plastic piece that I can turn but it doesn't seem to turn the actual screw. Then the swiveling part gets in the way of getting a good grip on the screw! Can't change the batteries because these things are in the way...any thoughts?

Heh!  You can edit your posts by clicking the gear icon in the top right of your post.  You only have a while to be able to do this - don't know the limit.

Sounds like you have a non-Arlo-supplied screw mount.  You should be able to loosen the external locking collar - perhaps use a pair of pliers to do so.  If the collar is loose and the mount can't be unscrewed, it sounds like the mount was over-tightened when installing, stripping the threaded part in the camera from its press fit. About the only thing to do would be to create as much room as possible to jam a pick of some sort in there to stop the rotation between the spinning insert and the camera.

Since you seem to be able to loosen the locking collar, perhaps you can tighten the swivel so the whole mount is a solid as possible and rotate the mount off the camera.
