I was wondering if the magnetic ball mounts can be painted and it still hold the camera just as strong?

I have painted some of mine flat black ( cameras too ) and no difference noted

I have also painted some of mine matte black. The paint does come off the mount and get on the camera though if you're worried about the camera getting marked
