Can I use Arlo anywhere and get 7 day free recording?

If i buy arlo system  from Hong kong ,

Can i use it in thailand ? and get a free 7day recording.

You should be able to get the Basic ( free 7 days storage ) form any where with an internet connection, the problem seems to arrise when other locations want to upgrade their service level in non-supported countries
