Camera not showing up in modes

I installed the arlo wireless camera, it does not show up in the Mode section of the app to turn on and off the motion detection

Did you click on your base station in the Mode tab? That's where you'll see your modes and be able to configure how your cameras work. Otherwise, use settings, My Devices.

The cameras dont show up in the mode section under my divices.

There is no mode section in My Devices. Either you're using old apps or reading old docs. Modes are in the Modes tab.
