Camera is only detecting movement up to about 5 feet

I am having trouble with camera not detecking movement untill about 5 feeet from camera. I'm thinking my wifi router is not strong enough. I've tried the motion settings and nothing changes.  Any help?

This wont be a wifi problem.

The cameras detect motion the best when someone moves across the filed of view as opposed to towards or away from the camera.

Try placing the camera in another position to test this.
