I have a camera 8 foot high about 10 ft behind my rear door. I have zoom/pan set just outside the door frame. There is absolutely nothing moving but it is recording every 3-5 min. The batteries have run down to warning stage in about 1 week. Any suggestions?

What is the sensitivity set for?  Have you lowered it?

 

 

Also as a PS... even if Pan/zoomed  to a smaller than original field of view, the PIR device see all of the field, not the smaller area ...so adjust the camera to eliminate IR reflections if any causing false triggers
