I have been using 3V CR123 batteries, but I saw 3.7V exist. Do those make any differences like lasting longer assuming non-rechargeable types.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering. 🙂

The 3.7v batteries are rechargeable. They do not last as long since the amount of chemistry that can be packed into them makes them limited to ~750mAH (anything much higher is a lie). The non-rechargeable batteries are rated at around 1500mAH. However, I've been using the Arlo-recommended Tenergy batteries for years and just accept that I have to charge them on a more regular basis.

If you go that route, I would make sure I purchased at least 1 extra set of 4 batteries so the camera isn't down during the recharging. I would also get the Tenergy charger. Be aware that not all similar batteries have over-charging circuitry which is one reason Arlo suggested the Tenergys. ALso, the physical size of the batteries can be somewhat different - I have a different set of batteries that are a tad longer and don't fit the charger as well as the Tenergy ones. They do work fine but it can be an issue if the size causes fitment problems in the cameras.
