So got a new add-on camera. Inserted batteries, synced with my base station, mounted it. 3 days later I notice it's offline. Next time I am at the house I go through the process of trouble-shooting. Batteries are at 11%.

Got 4 new Panasonic 123A batteries got it running, verified that batteries are at 100%.

Now 2 days later that camera is offline again. All the other cameras are in the 80% battery range (system has been installed since May) and this one is not the furthest from the base station.

Bad camera?

that is a possibility

but could also be positioning of cam.  either distance or walls or wifi interference could be causing it to constantly have trouble keeping in touch with the base station, eating through batteries quickly.  Rule this out by placing this cam about 10-15 feet from base station to see what happens to battery consumption

I went to the location today. I removed the camera from its mount (outdoor by front door, under eave) and when I walked inside and refreshed the app it is telling me the batteries are at 79%. I took one of the other cameras and mounted it outside (for future reference- battery is at 93%). Signal strength for the outside camera is one bar less than full, same as a third camera that has been operating for 4 months with over 90% battery remaining.

I will see what happens over the next couple days...
