Ah, a wave of nostalgia to bring in the new year.... the dreaded "a firmware update is required for your base station and camera", followed by the beauty of the dialog:
"Are you sure you want to update to 1.15.0.1_3162?"
I'm sure I don't (as before it was just the Android App update that broke library playback), but of course, it's not really a choice since you have to proceed if you want to view live cameras.
So hey, why not go for "Update"? Because... it doesn't work. "Firmware update is in progress", swiftly followed by "base_station_error_4403".
I hope whoever buys the company next has an understanding of the massive can of liability worms that it comes with.

Hi alisterr,
If your Base Station is not updating, try to manually update your firmware to see if that helps: How do I update my Arlo firmware manually?
Otherwise, your Base Station should automatically update the firmware between 3-5 AM.

I've just arrived at the site with the base station. Power off, wait a few seconds, power on again. Update got applied. But I need to re-sync my doorbell because... I know this one... your company has produced some truly awful firmware for these devices.
