Regardless of how long I hold the sync button on the base the camera light never flashes. I've tried disconnecting the power and then starting again but I still have the same issue.

I'm trying to add a 4th camera to my system.

Any suggestions?

Ok so I got it working. I have to press the sync button on the basestation very hard. A simple press where you feel the click of the button isn't enough. Not sure if this is normal....

I didn't have to use particular force but it sounds like yours has a slight (?) issue.  As long as you're good with it, seems like you found the fix...

Are you pressing and releasing the sync button fairly quickly or holding it down?  If the latter, don't. You only need a brief button press.

I have the same issue. I was able to sync 4 of my cameras. When I attempt to sync the 5th camera I cannot get the base station to enter sync mode. I tried pressing the sync button hard - nothing. Tried pressing the sync button just to hear the click - nothing. I even tried holding the sync button longer then 2-3 seconds - nothing. Holding the sync button causes the the usb icon to flash yellow. I've restarted the base station and turned it off/on. Any other suggestions?

I tried syncing my 5th camera last night and it worked!  I did nothing different as before.  I held the sync button on the base station for 1-2 seconds, the sync light on the base station began to flash and I synced my camera successfully.  Weird that it didn't work the 20 other times I tried previously...

I just purchased mine and the base station will not sync. I do not see any replies. What to do?

The most common mistake is users hold the sync button on the base to long...it's a quick push, not a hold.

(hold the sync button to long and the base goes into a usb mode )

I am trying to sync. a 4th camera and I am having the same problem. The light on the base will not flash green no matter how long I hold the sync. button. Any help would be appreciated. 3 cameras do not serve my need, I need 4.

You did read the post before yours? It says if you hold the Sync button too long, it'll switch into a different mode.

To sync, you need to press the button on the base station briefly. Don't hold it down for long.

Since your base station could be in any state at this point, I'd suggest resetting it and starting over with registering it and all of your cameras.

If I don't hold the button down for approx. 15 sec. It doesn't flash at all. I synced 3 other cameras right before the 4th and all worked fine. I'm not doing anything different...

So, after pressing the sync button on the base station for 15 seconds what LED blinks (if any at all) and in what color?

Are you saying that if you just briefly press on the base station's sync button, the third LED from the left on the base station will not start blinking? If that is the case, I'm wondering if your base station still has old firmware. Can you post your base station's firmware version number? Mine is showing as 1.7.3_5005 and I believe that is the most current version, since when I tap on the number in the device settings I get the message "No updates available".

I believe originally when the product was released a little over a year ago, the sync button on the base station did have to be pressed longer (though certainly not 15 seconds) to initiate the synchronization process. Meanwhile that has changed to a brief button press.
