I was wondering if you could have the base station at one location and the cameras elsewhere. My family has one camera. We mainly use it to monitor our driveway and back door. We have it setup to make sure my stepbrother isn't bring people over who aren't supposed to be over and today someone unplugged the base station and moved the camera so it was facing a wall. So to prevent this from happening we were wondering if we could hook the base station up at someone else's house while the camera was here.

No... The base station creates its own wifi network that talks only to the cameras...

The best range of the base is about 300 ft with no obstruction and less with walls in a home. If you move the base to far from the cameras, they won't work.

The only thing that may work for you is like a lock box ( wood ) for the base and placing the cameras out of reach like the ceiling...or lock the base in a closet. If they can pull the power to base tho your still out of luck.
