Was given my sister’s old Arlo, however, when I try to set up a new system the base station is detected, I create a unique name for it, but it fails the firmware update every time! Checked my internet speeds and their good.

Help!

Do a full reset of the base ( delete it from you account first with Remove device )

* hold in the rest for about 10 secs till the LEDS flash amber*

then try and setup again... it should update at that time.

I don’t have the option to “remove device” it’ll only let me add device.
I’ve reset the base and still no update.

Settings, My Devices, your devices, Remove Device. Before you do that, though, try turning the base completely off (power switch or pull the plug) and see if that fixes the update.

“My devices” is not an available option. See attached.

Reset, unplugged still failed.

This implies that you never had the system set up before - is that correct? Have you held the reset button until the LEDs flash amber? What are the LEDs showing? How do you know the base need a firmware update if it's not even claimed yet?

It was previously owned and given to me. I’m now attempting to set it up.
Upon attempting to “Set up New system” I cant get passed the firmware update.

Lights
Power: solid green
Network: solid green
Cameras: solid orange
All other lights are off.

Press and hold the reset button until the LEDs flash amber. When the base reboots, the Camera LED should be off (could still be amber). If that doesn't work, open a case with support:

Has the previous owner removed the device from their account first?
