Does this unit connect to a xfinity router box?

Hopefully someone with one of these routers will jump in but there's no reason it wouldn't work since all that's required is an Ethernet port and access to the Internet on ports 80, 443 and 123 to netgear.com. The only reason the ports wouldn't be open is that someone/thing changed default security settings.

Hi, I just connected mine directly to the Xfinity router.  No problems thanks

I have xfinity (Comcast) Internet with an Arris SURFBoard SBG6580. System is working for me.
