Arlo hd Camera won't pickup people walking up to the front door or on the sidewalk

Camera won't pickup people walking up to the front door or on the sidewalk, but will pickup all vehicles driving on road. I bought this camera system for the above reason. How do I set this up to capture people on my driveway or coming to my door? Or can I?

Cars have a very large and strong IR signature. To detect people, you'll need to have the motion sensitivity turned up but that'll be even worse for cars. You'll need to reposition your camera in such a way that it covers the area you want but doesn't see all the cars going by
