Arlo doesnt register activity through window

Hi,

My arlo doesnt seem to register activity through a window. Should it?

Or do I have to place it better?

Right now ita looking through a window at my doorstep so I can see people standing in front of my outer door.

Most models use a infrared motion sensor to trigger the camera. It will not work through glass.
