Hi all

I have 3 cameras all doing the same. I can't get them to sync. They just blink blue until the app times out.

I have two base stations old and newer version. All my other cameras are on the newer version. Reconnect the first base station today to see if I can get the 3 cameras working on this one, no luck.

The last one to go down was about a month ago which was an outside camera powered by the after marker power cable for the first generation cameras. It had worked for years no problem but my partner turned it off at the mains and just didn't reconnect.

Iv tried using batteries and the power cables on all 3 with no luck. I can't factory reset the cameras either.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What camera models do you have?

If it has 4 CR123 batteries, then it must be the original Arlo WireFree

Otherwise, if you remove the camera from the housing and remove the battery inside, you will find a label.

Yes they are the original cameras with CR batteries.

All three cameras are: VMC3030

They all do the same and are unable to sync. I can’t reset them either. I don’t don’t know what else to try. I am disappointed in this product as they were not cheap when I got them.

You can't reset them other than by opening and closing the battery door.

If these were ever on your account, they need to be removed before adding them back in. You don't need the app to sync these, just briefly press the base sync button - don't hold it - and then a camera button. Did that work?

What are the bases' LED(s) showing?

Yes all cameras have been removed. I even set up my first base station again to see if they would connect to that. When I hit sync on base and the cam the following happens:

1 camera - when I put the batteries in there is a blue blink and when I hit sync nothing happens. One light on The base just blinks away until it stops.

2 cameras when putting in batteries blink blue. I have to wait about 3 seconds as sync doesn’t so anything. Then I hit sync and base sync and they just flash away until it stops and not flashing blinking showing sync.

If the camera sync button doesn't initiate a slow blue blink for ~2 minutes either the camera has a problem or the button internal connection has corrosion or something preventing electrical contact. You can try just pressing the button multiple times to see if it "cleans" the contacts but no guarantees.

Be sure to use fresh batteries, too.

Ok thanks.

what about the two cameras that do slow blink and don’t connect?

iv literally spent hours faffing around trying to get them to work

Are you ensuring that you're just briefly pressing the base sync button?

Yes I have seemed to have try everything. It seems these cameras just decide to drop out and won’t re connect.  I’m getting nervous now as I have 4 more that I’m worried will do the same and I’ll have to spend loads more on new cameras due to these being flawed.
