My dog died on 1/03/26.

 

I was going through my 7 day feed and downloading videos of him when alive.

 

Before I could finish, the earliest day of 7 days, it DISAPPEARED!!!!

 

It's bad enough that the mobile app kept becoming unresponsive (feed STILL has bugs in it!!!), but now I can't finish retrieving the 7th day that was just in my feed a few minutes ago!!

 

OF COURSE I can't get any support, though I bought and paid for a device WITH 7 DAYS of "free" storage. Now I have 6 when I actually really needed the 7 for this???!

 

ARLO, quit leaving your customers hanging out to dry. This is ridiculous. Bought and paid for - working hardware and the "sale" of "free 7 day storage included!" !!!!!

That IS 7 days!!! It is NOT midnight here in NY (EST)!!!

 

Why did Dec 31 disappear (as I was downloading it)?

 

Also, why is there NOT a check box/BULK type download feature for each day?

 

Download the whole day? Or many days?

 

It'd be MUCH easier than tedious and clumsy finger tap sequences, as well as dealing with the app's apparent and expected bugs/freeze-ups while doing that.

 

Other gripes: The live video button right in line with the full screen scroll bar? Idiotic!!! A Donate and delete button on either side of the download button?????  Beyond senseless. There is no reason for these poor button placements. FIX THIS!!!!

 

Thanks again ARLO, for trashing a day's worth of one of the last few days I could see my dog's video before he passed...

First off I want to give my condolences on the loss of your fur baby. I know how absolutely devastating that can be. I can have someone from support look into this further. If you want to send me a dm with a good phone number as well as a good time to call. I will have someone reach out to you. You send a dm by clicking on the envelope icon on the top right of the forum page.If you don't see it, then go into your profile settings and select preferences, then "Private Messenger." Then select "Turn on private messages" if it is turned off.

I very much appreciate the reply and condolences. The time has passed, and so has my access to the videos that were within my 7-day (free) allotment.

 

I spent many hours trying to gather up/download all of those seven days previous to my dogs passing. The reason I have this camera is for both my dogs. 

 

It is only natural to want to go back and see the last 7 days of my dog's life. Much of that was caught on the Arlo Q camera in my living room, and also a Google Home doorbell cam.

 

It's sickened me to be stopped in the middle of downloading at 7:00 p.m., with 5 hours left until the day actually ended here. The Arlo calendar only showed 6 days available on it - at that point.

 

I got some of the videos from that day but not all. I do not wish to have to hassle with support or jump through any hoops of any sort to get back what was still mine for another 5 hours.

 

Arlo as a corporation really seems to be way out of touch with its customers. Frequently blaming the customers (hardware/wifi/setup/etc) for things such as bugs in the app. Or, they're not supporting users of perfectly intact and working EOL hardware/cameras. As well as ZERO support access to the FREE app, for those of us who have FREE 7 day rolling video storage since hardware purchase. 

 

Sometimes, it's not just about security. Sometimes it's about somebody's life, or their pet's...

 

And, after spending quite a few hours tapping millions of times to download my videos, I can say with all certainty that there are STILL bugs in the feed that weren't fixed last time around.
