Hi,

I've got multiple WiFi access points across my house/property for a good coverage. All APs connect to the same network (so the base station would be reachable) but the APs' SSIDs are different.

Is it possible to have individual Arlo cameras connected to different WiFi access points, e.g. cameras 1+2 connect to SSID INDOORS, camera 3 connects to SSID BACKYARD?

Thanks,

Thomas

Arlo base sets up it's own wifi system to connect to the cameras ONLY.  You can't connect the wifi cameras to a normal wifi system.

What may help you tho, is that if you have multiple wifi access points with ethernet ports, AND need to cover a large area, you can run more than one base unit and link the nearest camera to each base. This will cover more area with a quality signal between cam and arlo base.

Or, possibly, use one of the APs for the connection to the base station so it's more centrally located.  All depends on how large the area is as well what issues may be impediments to easy, proper location.

Thanks for that addition, now planning to do exactly that.

Accepted TomMac's answer as it clarified that Arlo cams have their own WiFi
