There have been recent reports of this happening to these base stations. I don't know if there's a fix coming out.

I was given a brand new Arlo Essential Wirefree Cameras system several years ago, but have only recently opened the box to set it up. I've been able to successfully power up the VM3000 base station, connect it to the internet and sync the two cameras to the base station, but the application has not been able to discover the base station. I have repeatedly done a complete factory reset and even tried the setting the system up with a different router at a different location with the same result. I seem to have read somewhere that the older base stations can only handle 2.5GHz networks and both networks I have connected it to are 5G. Could this be part of hte problem?

I've been trying to get it working for a few years now and searching for a solution/fix to the problem to no avail but am starting to realize that I have to throw the crap out and go to another manufacturer.

A real solution would be to stop trying to use what may be a faulty base and purchase a new one which supports all old and new cameras. The VMB4540 or 5000 SmartHubs would work fine.

The bases connect to your network with ethernet, so your wifi is not the issue.

I am trying to configure a VMB3000 device but it is not found in the web application or in the app.
I've already done the factory reset and tested it on more than one network. I would like to know if this device is still supported and functional.
