I’ve had 5 Arlo Cameras for about a year. 2 cameras constantly go offline immediately after installing new batteries, so I’m confident it’s not a battery issue. I’ve tried to delete the device and add a new device. I get the same result with the exact same cameras. It doesn’t matter how close or far i am from the base station I am.

I’m at a loss as to what to do. Any advise?

I had the same issue a while back and I even had the camera sitting pretty much next to the base station and it still had sync'ing and going offline problems. I moved my base station about a foot further away from my wifi router and it fixed it. I suspect there was some kind of  interference happening.
Try either turning off the wifi on your router or moving your base further away from it

You have the same issue as me.

Here are some of what Netgear Support has told me.

Hello

Good day!

Thank you for providing us an update.

Basically, if the battery is totally dead, we advice to charge it for 3-4 hours. Knowing that camera if fully charge if you can see a solid blue LED on the camera itself. Battery life also depends on camera usage and setting. We can provide you a replacement charger for isolation purposes, but may I ask for your shipping address (P.O box is not accepted) and phone number for us to initiate the replacement.

You can also try to contact your router's manufacturer and ask them to change the wireless channel of your router to 1, 6 or 11 (Prefer to choose 6 first). Changing wireless channel improves the wireless connectivity and lessen the interference. When camera is having a hard time to communicate with the base station, it exhaust it battery life just to stay the connection of the both devices.

We appreciate the time assisting you. Thank you for choosing NETGEAR.

Hello,

Good day!

Thank you for your immediate response. This is Loise from NETGEAR Arlo support I will be answering this email on behalf of Christian. Upon checking the email thread, you provided us your Upload and download speed. Please be informed that the Arlo system alone needs to have 1.5 Mbps for both the Upload and Download speed, having this insufficient bandwidth usually causes the system to go offline sporadically. I would suggest to upgrade your Internet bandwidth to have the system worked properly.

Again, thank you for choosing NETGEAR. Have a wonderful day!

Best Regards,

Loise

Moving the base station away from the router solved the problem. That was great! Thanks!
