Apartment changed internet. Don't have router. What to plug in to?

Our apartment changed their internet stuff and so now we. Longer have a router and that’s what our Arlo was plugged into. So now what do I plug it into?!

How is your new internet set up?  Are you just accessing it over wifi?  Or is there ethernet somewhere?

Often cable modems are actually gateways (which are modem+router).  So if you have a cable modem, can you provide the model and manufacturer?

Based on your comments, my guess is that your landlord went to WIFI only internet access.   If so, I have a cheap and elegant solution for you.   Search on your favorite shopping site for:  GL.iNET GL-MT300N-V2 Mini Travel Router.   It's typically around $20.

This mini-router will take incoming WIFI or Ethernet internet signal (on the WAN side) and function as a router or access point along with firewall.   The output (LAN side) will can be WIFI and/or Ethernet.   You can put a small 4 port switch on the LAN side, and end up with a 4 LAN port router whose internet access comes from external WIFI.    It also features OpenVPN support if you choose to use that, but it's not necessary.   

I use this setup when travelling and can deliver Ethernet or my own WIFI from Hotel or other public WIFI.  In that way, I only have to connect this one device to the public WIFI and then deliver Internet access to my multiple devices.  This setup may or may not violate any terms of service, YMMV.

This class of device is also called a WLAN router - there are several other products that provide this feature, including several that support 802.11ac (which would be faster than the MT300N).  

A WiFi extender could also allow you to connect the base to ethernet.

Though these solutions might not work, depending on how you join the main wifi network and are authenticated.  More details on what you have and how you connect to it would be helpful.
