Ambiguous Menus for Arrive/Leave Settings

Greetings Arlo Experts…
I have not attempted to post this to a specific channel because it’s not camera related - it’s the software and documentation I want help with! If it is hardware specific, I’m pretty sure it’s the base station, not the cameras - and that doesn’t seem to be an option in this forum menu.
I have read the Arlo support articles and I have an open support case with them because our geolocation automations are not working correctly. 
Our system always switches to “arms away” when I leave home, even if my partner and her phone (and both our iPads) are at home.
I am hoping someone in the community is better at reading questions than the Arlo support staff because despite 4 attempts,  I cannot get them to realise how ambiguous the arrive/leave menu options are. 

My problems are exacerbated by the software that repeatedly adds our iPads to the geolocation devices lists in security settings. I HAVE DELETED OUR IPADS 4 TIMES IN THE LAST WEEK AND THEY KEEP BEING RE-ADDED. WE DO NOT CARRY OUR IPADS WITH US ON OUR DAILY ROUTINES!!!!

Here is 2 of my attempts to ask what these menus are supposed to mean…

1. The wording of the People Leave option is ambiguous - the software insists on adding my ipad as a geolocation device. I have had to delete it several times this week and both our iPads have been added again yesterday while I was talking to you!.

So when there are 2 phones and  2 iPads listed in the "people" options and I have selected “Everyone Leaves” -  does this mean that it will only switch modes if all 4 devices leave home - so it will not arm if we both leave home with our phones,  but we leave our iPads at home??

I really wish Arlo would fix this menu and make it less ambiguous!

2. Follow up question ..

Please explain how the Home/Leave automation works if I have selected the SPECIFIC PEOPLE option?

So when there are 2 phones and one or 2 iPads listed - then I have selected “specific people leave” and selected the 2 iPhones. MY QUESTION is…. Does this mean that BOTH of us have to leave with our iPhones for it to change modes, or EITHER of us leaves?

NOTE - This is different to selecting “Everyone Leaves”
Obviously, we only want to arm the stupid things if we have BOTH left home!

Hi @DMcCookie 

If you have an iPad in the list, you will need to select the "Specific People Leave" option to disregard the iPad. Select the phones you want enabled and leave the iPad unchecked.

When utilizing the People Arrive/Leave Feature, If you want the device to Arm/Disarm or use an automation you will need to select which device name to trigger it > Save > Add action > Change mode etc.

That is correct, the system will Arm or disarm based on when all of the selected devices has left the defined zone.
