So, what is the latest position - at some point in the last few months i have lost my 7 day cloud recording, which I expected to have for lifetime of the camera without a subscription, which was the only reason I selected Arlo. Has this gone away? I am USA based.

Looks like it works without rebooting as i just had an app notification and there it was, in my cloud recordings. Thanks! I will give it a reboot anyway and test all. Appreciate it!

No.
But several users did lose the feature due to some issue in the Arlo Cloud.
I'm tagging the mods - @JamesC , @ShayneS , @BrookeN - so they can do a back end sync for you, that should fix this. One of them will get in touch when they do that.
Since you've lived with the issue for some months now, I suggest it is safer to just wait for the sync. But if you are in a rush, you can also try removing one camera from your account, and then add it back. Some people have had trouble getting "add device" to work - if that were to happen, you'd need to use the manual (push button) installation method for your camera.
