2 of 4 camera drain batteries fast and showing offline

I have the original Arlo model with 4 cameras. 2 of them now are draining the battery fast eventhough i just put them in last week. The other 2 has been working fine and battery has been there for months.
I assume there is no hardware warranty for this since i have purchased them way back. If i bought the newer version of arlo 2, will it be compatible with my original base?

Yes they are all compatible. Any camera will work with the base station.
