not getting alerts/notifications anymore from camera and doorbell devices

Hey all, I'm not getting pinged anymore with alerts from my doorbell camera and my security camera. What am I missing? Can't figure out how to do it from the app. I don't pay for a subscription, is that the problem? It was working fine for months and then nothing. Please help this luddite! Thanks.

You'd still get notifications/alerts w/o a subscription, but you wouldn't be able to see any recordings.
Have you checked that the cameras are armed?
