I can't find any techincal specs for the Chime 2. In particular, how many dB is the siren (I'm hoping more than the 80dB for Chime)? Seems like a basic spec that should be reported..

I don't know of that spec but can say that either of the chimes is LOUD.

FWIW, it'd be good if the db level was listed somewhere (maybe in the faq)

The predecessor's 80dB (presumably non-weighted and at 1 meter) isn't very loud as far as home alarms go (my base station's alarm is listed at 100dB and is just loud enough to induce startle, but I don't like having that target sign on my station!)

The siren feature for the chime is really just another sound that can be selected. If the desire is to have a louder siren, that would likely affect the normal chime sounds. Not a huge deal but also not exactly the use case.

There's no reason why a device's chime/melody volume would need to be the same as its siren.

Logically and marketing-wise, the device should be able to be used as a loud siren, akin to what the older base station has.
