Wired video doorbell - cannot get it to record to the base

I have my Arlo Video Doorbell connected to the Arlo base VMB400 but cannot get it to record to the base on motion detection. All other cameras (2) connected record fine. I have a usb stick connected to the base station for storage so no cloud storage is required. The doorbell can detect motion but won't record. Please help me get it to record. It is annoying that it won’t record.

Have you checked the mode (making sure the rule for the doorbell includes storage)?

You likely already know this, but just in case - the only way to check the recordings on the USB stick with the VMB4000 is to remove the USB stick and connect it to a PC.
