I have a Broan C501CY door bell. I couldn't figure out the wiring of the power pack because the chimes went off continuously. I ended up wiring the door bell straight to the transformer to power it but the chimes do not work. What do I need to do to get the chimes to work properly? Wiring diagram for chimes below.

It might not be compatible.  The C500 is listed in the incompatible list for Ring, which is not a good sign.

One option is to use a dedicated transformer for the doorbell, using a relay to trigger the chime.

If you are using the top wiring diagram, you could try connecting one of the power kit leads to (2).  If you are using the second one, you can try (1).  The other lead would connect to front, side, or back.

Thanks StephenB. I tried that and the chime rings continuously. The chime is over 30 years old and probably ready to be replaced.

Ok.  That says your current powerkit install is doing something useful (even though it's not wired as Arlo intended).

FWIW, mine are as well, but are working ok.

If you do replace it, then of course you can re-install the power kit as part of the process.
