I moved to a new apartment and am trying to set up my doorbell again (Gen 1). I know there's power but it's not lighting up to connect. I couldn't fully shut the power off when installing, could have shorted it out? Any fixes?

Do you know the voltage and power specs of the transformer?

I don't even know where the transformer is lol. Is that the fuse box?

No.  The AVD1001 needs low-voltage ac (16-24 volts) with at least 10 VA (volt-amps)  of power.

You might not be getting sufficient voltage or power at the doorbell.

It also needs a power kit installed at the chime - is that installed?

Oh I think I found the transformer in the closet behind the chime box. Of course it's right above the door & difficult to see. It may be the wiring to the chime box as well - it's a musical box that looks 40-50 years old, doesn't have typical wiring.  I may call an electrician, just wanted to make sure I didn't short out the doorbell during install.  Thank you for the help!
