Each time we set up the doorbell it trips our transformer anyone have any suggestions? This is a new build the transformer is 24v we are out of things to try!

Is the transformer also rated for 10 va or higher power?
Note @DannyBearAgain's suggestion only applies if you don't have a chime on the circuit.
It's possible the doorbell is defective, so you could exchange it with the seller. It is also possible that the transformer is defective.
