I get way to many motion alerts.  If we're mowing the lawn or bringing in groceries I get constant alerts.  Is there a way to get one alert and then pause them for a period of time, say 3 minutes, while still recording the motion?  It's a bit irritating getting 6-7 alerts while trying to bring in the groceries.

You can pause notifications.

I guess what I am asking is, is there a way to do it automatically in the app.  I work in skilled trades and my hands are usually dirty and greasy and so I can't get to my phone.  The motion notification going off 5-6 times as my family is bringing in the groceries is irritating.

No way that I know of.

FWIW, the options I do know about are

  • create a mode w/o notifications and schedule it during your normal work hours
  • routinely pause notifications for 3 hours ahead of time if you know this will be happening.
  • turn off sound for arlo notifications,
