Under audio settings, the microphone is set to on.
But when I answer the doorbell call, the microphone is off.
I have to manually turn the microphone on.
I want the microphone to already be on when I answer the call.

You need to go to Devices > Settings > Call settings and switch off the microphone there. I have no idea why, but Arlo's engineers clearly have a different way of thinking to mine.

Which mic? The one in your phone? Or the one in the doorbell?

I was referring to the microphone on my cell phone.
After someone rang the doorbell, and I answered the (Arlo) phone call on my cell phone, I could hear the person at the door, but I could not talk to them because the microphone setting on my cell phone was off.
When I manually turned on the microphone, they could hear me.
I wanted the microphone for Arlo doorbell phone calls (on my cell phone) to always be on when I answer the Arlo doorbell call.
A reply to my problem solved the problem = You need to go to Devices > Settings > Call settings and switch off the microphone there
