Hi
Is it possible to record live view footage of Arlo video doorbell?
Otherwise live view is not very useful.
According to manual i should see record and snapshot buttons on the screen but they are missing in mine.

I see the record and snapshot controls in the web browser and the iOS app after I start the live view. What device are you using?

Nathans,
Do you have an active Arlo Smart trial or subscription plan associated with the doorbell?

I am using iPhone 7 plus.
iOS version 14.4
I cannot see the record button and snapshot button.
No I don't have a subscription trial because it expired.
To be I am very disappointed about Arlo business model.
Because they don't say clearly that subscription is necessary to record videos.
I have a base station, 2 other cameras and a wired video doorbell.
I thought Video doorbell should be able to record videos directly into my base station like the way other wall mounted video cameras do. But it stopped recording soon after 3 month trial subscription expired.
Very disappointed.

Nathans,
To save recordings to the cloud, you must have an active Arlo Smart trial or subscription plan. For more information, take a look here: How do I subscribe to Arlo Smart?

Hi James,
I don't want to save recordings to cloud.
I am saving them to my base station.
All what I want from Arlo app is to display my stored videos in the app library like my normal Arlo video cameras.
My Arlo video cameras records them to base station and show them in the app library.
But the videos of Arlo video doorbell don't show up in the app library.

Nathans,
Content in the library is saved to the cloud, not the base station. Arlo Video Doorbell does not allow for free cloud storage like legacy cameras. For recordings to be saved to the library for Arlo Video Doorbell, you must have a subscription.

In that case I want my money back because that is not mentioned in the Arlo video doorbell box.
BTW videos of Arlo doorbell can be saved to external USB storage.
