1. If Arlo Essential Video Doorbell (Wired) is connected with the Arlo Base Station VMB4000 and my Arlo Secure Expire has expired, will the Doorbell keep recording to an external USB stick plugged into the Base Station?
2. If the answer is yes, I believe I can't watch the video from remote. I have to physically unplug the UBS stick from the Base Station, plug it into a computer and watch the video from the USB there, right?

Yes.

Again, correct. Eject the stick from the app before unplugging it.
