Arlo Doorbell red light stays on at night.

The light use to only turn on when there was motion at night.

Now it stays on without going off until morning.

If you mean the status LEDs around the button, then they shouldn't be red at all.  Colors are amber and white.  Solid amber means the doorbell isn't getting enough power: https://kb.arlo.com/000039122/How-do-I-add-friends-to-my-Arlo-account

Though maybe you are talking about the infrared LEDs needed for NightVision???

I had the same behaviour this morning.  First day I left home as sunrise was late 😋

The red led on, in the middle of the device,

 and pulsing white led in circle below.

I thought it was broken again, but when I tried later when @ work, it was ok. 

I do not find its meaning in the doc. 🤔  Infrared ???

The red glow is the IR LEDs working for night vision. You can test this by turning off night vision in the doorbell settings. The pulsing white ring means detection has happened and a recording is made (if the appropriate mode is selected).
