Bought house with Arlo wired doorbell camera. How to use it?

I bought a house with a previously installed wired doorbell camera. I've been through the app setup option but the device will not recognize my network or the QR code on my phone. I have gotten confirmation that the sellers did disconnect all devices from their old account. How do I add the old device to my newly created account and new wifi network?

Have you tried a factory reset?

If that's not enough, then disable your router's 5 ghz network if you can (you can re-enable it after onboarding).

If you still have trouble after the QR code chimes, then check your router's attached device list, and see if the camera shows up there.  If it doesn't, then 

• make sure the router has WPA (AES) security enabled
• remove any punctuation from the network name and password
