I was carrying out some work on my house electrics tonight and shut off the power. This powered down my personal wifi that the doorbell is connected to.
After powering back on the wifi, the arlo wireless door bell fails to reconnect to the wifi. The only solution is to remove the battery to cycle the power, then it reconnects. This is not good behaviour and makes it pretty useless as a doorbell or a security product.
Additionally, my arlo ultra 2 cameras are all connected to the base station. When the base station powered down and powered back up it connected to the cameras just fine for status updates via the app but all alerts and recordings didn't work until I manually went in and watched the cameras once each, then recordings and alerts started again.
I honestly can't believe this is how an exceptionally expensive camera system is designed to work. I could have made something this bad myself for a tenth of the price.
