Moved into a new house. Installed the doorbell (and cameras). The doorbell connects, but says it needs to update the firmware. After hitting yes to update - about 1 minute later I get the message it appears the device is offline. It doesn't come back on.

I've reset the doorbell.

I've reset the base station.

I've changed wifi routers - both 5g and 2.4g - same issue.

At my wits end.

What happens if you just connect it to WiFi instead of the base/hub? If that works, you can then move it to your base.

Yes. The doorbell connects, but when updating the firmware I get a message the devices appears too be offline.

I have switched to a Google doorbell. It works perfectly. Goodbye Arlo.
