I know that this is supposedly some kind of "safety feature", but it really is frustrating. Has anyone found a suitable workaround for the doorbell being unable to ring the chime when the weather gets hot? My house faces west which means that the doorbell get a daily dose of direct sunlight in the afternoon. Here in the sunny south it can get into the 80s-90s for most of the summer. Soo... hitting 80+ here today and here we go again. The chime stops working from around 1PM on until sometime after dusk. Yes the call to my phone feature works fine, but I really don't understand why it can do that, but not ring the chime. What is disabling the chime protecting it from? The power pack is inside the house. I see some have mentioned ordering white silicon covers to try to alleviate the issues, but didn't find where anyone says it worked. Going to order one and see.
