Arlo video doorbell setup doesn’t recognize smarthub

I bought this package. 2 pro3 cameras, a smarthub and a doorbell. The camera setup offers to connect to the smarthub, all good.
The setup flow for the video doorbell on the other hand directly jumps to connect to 2.4ghz WiFi….
I want to connect the doorbell to the smart base, but the setup flow never shows me the option to select it 🤔 What to do?

It sounds like you purchased the AVD2001 (wireless) doorbell.  The older AVD1001 (wired) doorbell can be paired with the smarthub.  But the AVD2001 doesn't support pairing with a smarthub yet - Arlo says they are working on that feature, but haven't said when it will be rolled out.

Hi StephenB, thanks. It is indeed the model AVD2001B.
Strange that a newer version is less compatible 🤦🏼‍♂️

My doorbell is connected through WiFi and I can browse the videos in local storage from the app. Are you trying to do something different than that?
