Arlo power kit didn’t work but Ring’s did!

So I was replacing a ring doorbell with the Arlo video wired doorbell.  Everything worked except the mechanical chime.  Uninstalled the Arlo power kit and the chime worked but of course buzzed.  Thinking the Arlo power kit was shot, customer service sent me a replacement… same issue when installed.  I remembered the previous ring doorbell also had a power kit and it worked flawlessly so I swapped the Arlo power kit with the ring one and amazingly it worked without issue.  No idea what the difference is between the two but clearly there is some.  And yes.. 16v transformer with appropriate chime.
