Arlo essential doorbell new install amber/white light

Just installed a brand new Arlo essential wired doorbell.  On first power up, doorbell is flashing white/amber light.  Getting constant 24V AC on the lead but doorbell will not go to solid white light.  DOA doorbell?

Weird, I removed and reconnected the wires on the doorbell and now it works. Go figure.
