Hi Everyone,
I’ll be attempting to install my new video doorbell this week and just going through the logistics.
My house did not have a wired doorbell previously so I’ll be running cables back to a 16v AC transformer in a socket.
Seeing a few posts on here about the powerkit being essentially to counter power loss and just wondering if anyone knew how I’d go about wiring it in or if I need to?
Cheers!

The power kit is for an existing chime. Since you don't have one the kit isn't needed. My doorbell runs fine like that.

That's not what it does, and as @jguerdat says, you don't need it unless you have a chime.
