I see people asking the maximum distance the doorbell will detect motion in but not minimum or optimum.

My pathway is around 3ft from the pavement, will I be able to adjust the camera for such a short distance.

You can reduce the motion sensitivity and perhaps create a zone to help minimize unwanted triggers. It will take testing to get what you need.
