I've had an Arlo wired video doorbell for 13 months with no problem. Then it stopped alerting, showing live video and would seldom record. If it did record it would only be once or twice that day. I spent 6 hours on the phone with Arlo's tech people checking our internet speed, resetting unit multiple times with it connecting 3 of those times for a short time (minutes). turning off circuit breaker and making sure modes etc were correct on iphone app. Finally, I returned it for a new one at Best Buy feeling lucky I had a 2-yr service plan. I installed the new one and it worked right away, for a few minutes. Then nothing - no live video, no alerts and no recording. I called our internet company to see if there were problems on their end. On their end things look fine. This is the only Arlo device I have and I don't have a base unit. I'm completely stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I faces similar kind of issue before couple of days,

Arlo Support called me promptly at 9:00AM ET as scheduled.  Interesting something changed overnight.  The LED on the bell went from completely dark (unresponsive) last night to flashing white this morning.  I tried to reinstall but still could not get it to be recognized by my Wifi.  When the technician called, together we went through the same reset process that I did on my own yesterday, except for turning the cellular connection on my iPhone off.  Allowing my phone to only connect by Wifi.  It worked!  The doorbell connected.

Still not sure why the doorbell appeared "dead & unresponsive" yesterday, but lit up this morning.  Could it have an internal battery the needed to be charged?

It does, and possibly that explains your problem.

@mels59:   Your doorbell worked for a while, and then stopped, correct?  Can you check the transformer voltage at the doorbell?

The actually doorbell works fine but the live video, alerts and recordings aren't happening. If I reset it it will work for the couple minutes I test it then a few minutes later those things stop working again. I can see if a friend can check the voltage. We had our house rewired last summer and that's when we had the video doorbell installed. We've never had any issues with it until a month ago.
