I have a Video Doorbell that has generally worked well since last December. It now shows offline constantly but I can ping it (and I can see ports for RTSP and SIP-TLS, so it is clearly connected to the wireless router (I don't have a hub or base station). It would be a major pain to pull it to reset it, and then set it up again, so let me know if there is an easy way around this?

Was able to fix by hard rebooting (shutting off power at the breaker, and back on). Note that in my situation the camera is most useful when one is away and unable to reboot it.

Maybe Arlo programmers would like to learn about watchdog timers and recovery using a watchdog timer. Or perhaps more code reviews. Or maybe the HW and ID designers could put a more accessible reset on the doorbell device itself. Just some of the things I hope Arlo is learning and using to improve future products. Security cameras that require onsite support are functionally useless for many people.

I wish they had a "restart" control for the doorbells in the app/web ui - that would often be enough.

It is painful to go through the hardware reset on the AVD1001, and it would be nice if it was more accessible.
