An issue or feature that Arlo removed was the ability to obtain all video activities (regardless of camera - but we'll focus on wired & wire free doorbell) regardless of alarm set status. A change was rolled out to only record activities when the alarm is activated.
What is the logic behind this decision? Is it to force customers to upgrade to 24/7 monitoring at $9.99 per camera as opposed to rolling in activity monitoring regardless of the alarm system being activated?
All activities were monitored prior to the alarm system being fully enabled, once the alarm system is fully enabled the activities stopped being logged outside of when the alarm is set.
IMO this makes little to no sense for a customer.
How can this be resolved? Here are some suggestions:
- purchase a different alarm service & continue to use only Arlo's cameras
- purchase another system (not Arlo) that enables activity tracking within the subscription regardless of alarm setting
- Arlo updates to go back to its previous method of recording & showing activities regardless of alarm setting
- Enable a user feature that allows the user to select whether or not they want to track all activities regardless of alarm setting

I'm a bit confused about your situation but it would seem that you need to add rules for the various cameras to the 3 default modes - Standby, Armed Home and Armed Away. See the link below for details. Also, do you have a subscription? The security system for sure needs one as well as any camera newer than the Pro 2.

Thank you. I posted this after spending quite some time with Arlo's tech support folks saying that what we needed video activities - people, vehicles, etc to be available in the feed they assured us this feature no longer exists in standby. Arming with home or away are the only ways to track & store the video activities in the feed.

Unfortunately (as is often the case), their information was incomplete.
You can edit the rules in the standby mode to record whatever cameras you wish. The rules let you choose whether you want notifications, or just recordings for each camera.
